Dale Walsh is a coach for the families of those diagnosed with schizophrenia. Diagnosed in 1975, his mental health journey has evolved from total psychosis to a miraculous recovery. He has been coaching the families of those with a loved one with schizophrenia since 2018 and is the creator of the LIVELOVE method to help his clients. He lives by the mantra “Recovery is Always an Option.”
After thirteen-week incarceration in a hospital after being “extracted” from Dartmouth College, he came to a private psychiatric program in New Jersey where he was hospitalized nine times over five years. He then moved into his own unsupervised apartment and returned to college at Fairleigh Dickinson University, from where he graduated magna cum laude in English Literature.
Dale has been episode-free for 28 years. For the last five years he has been dedicated to creating his coaching business for the “forgotten victims” of his illness: the family members and caregivers who are daily challenged by their loved one’s condition. He brings an unique “inside out” approach to his clients to illuminate the true workings of the schizophrenic mind. His coaching is based on empathy, listening, love, faith and a deeper understanding of the disease that comes from his experiences.
