ARIZONA, GEORGIA, NEVADA, PENNSYLVANIA LEANING TO BIDEN
ALASKA, NORTH CAROLINA LEANING TO TRUMP
Hello everyone, and welcome back to Election Central, coming from an undisclosed place somewhere on Long Island. This is Tuesday, November 3, and I have been reporting from Long Island for several hours. My role is and has been to discuss the Presidential Election Day results between the current President,
DONALD TRUMP and
former Vice President, JOE BIDEN.
First is the challenger, coming in from the left, born in Pennsylvania, and presently resides in Delaware. He stands six feet tall, weighs approximately 185 pounds, with a BMI index of 25. Also, his birthday is November 20, where he will turn 78 years. He is part of the Democratic Party and was the 47th Vice President of the United States from 2009 to 2017 under the administration of President Barack Obama. His name is Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.
Now I bring in the champion, coming in from the right, born in New York and currently resides in the White House in Washington, DC. He comes here at 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds, with a BMI index of 40 plus. Besides, his birthday is June 14, where he turned 74. He is part of the Republican Party, and he is the 45th President of the United States, where he has been since 2017. His name is Donald John Trump.
Impressive, this feels like a heavyweight boxing match between two longtime foes competing for the ultimate title, President of the United States. Seems to be confusion out there. A faint sound of someone tapping on a table, trying to get everyone to listen. In front of me, Incredibly is legendary ring announcer, Michael Buffer appears with Joe Biden on his left side and Donald Trump on his right side. Suddenly, Michael Buffer starts to say his iconic five words,
“Let’s Get Ready To Rumble“!!! My OCD obsessive thoughts take control, and I hear Michael Buffer and those five words repeatedly.
Suddenly, I get a jolt, and I am awake. Chalk this up to another daydream. Did I miss the vote? No, I proceeded to walk to the other side of my place and noticed it was daylight. It was Tuesday, and it is Election Day at around 3pm. Then, I got my things together, and I went to do my civic duty and vote. My polling place is at the local south middle school about a mile from me. According to the news, I was anticipating a crowd. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised not to see a line draped around the school. The whole process took about fifteen minutes, and I was proud of myself that I voted.
Several hours later, I was relaxing listening to music. Or was I? My OCD thoughts returned, and I heard Michael Buffer and those five words again. Let’s get ready to rumble, and the voices of Trump and Biden would repeat over and over in my head on and off the entire day Tuesday. Now I was awake, but my friend OCD is with me, and we are having a good day focusing on the elections. Maybe, too much. Thinking only about my OCD is fine. I would remain calm, and nothing terrible was going to happen. It was now almost 130am. I realized that I had been dozing on and off in the living room for many hours. The TV was still on to Election coverage where challenger Biden led President Trump, 253 to 214 in the Electoral College, but neither candidate was declared the winner.
So I decided to go to bed and try sleeping. Then, I turned off the TV, brushed my teeth, and proceeded to my bed. One more round of Michael Buffer and the contenders, and I guess I feel asleep. Everyone has witnessed a joint event with OCD, where we struggle with our emotions and plow through. It won’t be easy, but we will. Hope my story serves as an inspiration for anyone who has OCD or any type of Mental Health issue. Like many others and myself are resilient individuals who hang tough in the face of trouble and bounce back. Even sometimes, we return better than before. One day at a time. Again, it won’t be easy.
HANG TOUGH!!! WE WILL SURVIVE WITH OCD!!!
See everyone in the NewsBlogs.
